Fees Structure for Business & Commercial Lending

Fees Structure for Business & Commercial Lending

At Finance Broker Melbourne Pty transparency in pricing is integral to our service. Our clear fee structure is designed to meet the diverse needs of business and commercial customers seeking finance.

Brendon Cowan is here to help.

1. File Preparation Fee
We charge a non-refundable fee of $1,000 plus GST for comprehensive file preparation. This fee covers everything related to our internal pre-assessment, including credit checks, title searches, ASIC searches, and in-depth fact-finding regarding your overall needs and objectives.

2. Loan Origination Fee
Charged at settlement, this fee is set at 1% of the loan amount plus GST (minimum $5,500). It covers prospecting and negotiating with lenders, preparing a final credit submission, securing loan approval, and managing your loan application through to settlement. If, in the same transaction, a lender pays us an upfront commission (often between 0.50% and 0.70%), we will rebate that fee to you upon receipt of the commission. However, these rebates are subject to the conditions outlined below.

3. Reversal of Commission Rebates
This clause applies when we incur a clawback fee from your lender. For example, if a lender pays us an upfront commission and we rebate that commission to you, but the loan is repaid within a short period—triggering a clawback by the lender—you are required to return the commission amounts that we have already rebated to you. Clawback policies vary between lenders, and we will provide you with details specific to your transaction.
